Pas de Deux
This virtuosic and programmatic one-movement work was written to capture, and celebrate, the very passionate relationship of two married friends.
Pas de Deux begins with a musical portrait of youthful exuberance and evolves through ruminations on loss, culminating in a state of complex yearning: the desire to make the ephemeral, love, permanent.

"Knock On the Door"
from Let Freedom Sing

Let Freedom Sing, a mainly comic musical revue, was commissioned for the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution. A number of talented writers wrote songs and sketches for the show. Knock On the Door was one of the more serious moments in the show.
